BEYOND THE BRANCH: REDEFINING FINANCIAL INCLUSION WITH INTELLIGENT DIGITAL BANKING SERVICES
Since many people around the world do not have access to basic banking services, financial inclusion is still a major worldwide concern. It has been shown that traditional branch-based approaches are inadequate for reaching underprivileged and rural regions. This thesis investigates how financial services driven by AI are a revolutionary instrument for democratizing finance rather than just a technical advancement. This study makes the case that AI is changing the financial inclusion environment by examining its effects on customer experience and operational efficiency. Based on a thorough literature review and a fictitious case study analysis, the results show that AI-driven solutions—from conversational chatbots and personalized services to automated credit scoring and fraud detection—significantly lower entry barriers, lower operating costs, and produce a more user-centric and accessible financial ecosystem. In order to achieve sustained financial inclusion and open the door to a more just global economy, this study suggests that AI must be strategically adopted.
