Hybrid sequencing and assembly of Fusobacterium watanabei and Fusobacterium paranimalis sp.nov.. WGS Fusobacterium watanabei type strain CCUG74246T and Fusobacterium paranimalis sp.nov.

No whole genome sequences of the type strain for species Fusobacterium watanabei exist. The strain was therefore purchased and subsequently sequenced using Illumina and Oxford Nanopore to provide a typestrain for taxonomic databases. We also identified a novel species; Fusobacterium paranimalis. There will be accompaniment of a paper describing the motivation for publishing this sequence.
