Arundo donax Raw sequence reads

Giant reed (Arundo donax) has attracted renewed interest as a potential candidate bioenergy crop. This is due to its high biomass productivity, adaptability to marginal land conditions and suitability for biofuel and biomaterial production. This study was conducted on three environmentally contrasting ecotypes. High-quality Illumina single-end reads (50 bp) by RNA-seq were used for de novo transcriptome assembly, functional annotation and development of functional, polymorphic SSRs.
