Pythium oligoandrum is a non-pathogenic soil oomycete, which can be widely colonized in many agricultural and forestry crops. Most members of the genus Pythium are plant pathogens. Pythium oligoandrum can not only promote plant growth, it also has the ability to protect plants from some pathogenic bacteria. Therefore, we sequenced it and analyzed its mechanism of promoting plant growth and biological control at the genome level.
