POLLEN, PHYTOLITH, AND MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES FROM THE RIMROCK HAMLET (5RB2792) AND SKY AERIE (5RB104) SITES, WESTERN COLORADO

Sky Aerie Promontory (5RB104) and the Rimrock Hamlet Promontory (5RB2792) are Fremont sites located on the Douglas Creek Arch near Rangely in northwestern Colorado. Radiocarbon ages indicate the sites were occupied between the late AD 800s through AD 1005. Pollen, phytolith, starch granule, and macrofloral analyses were undertaken to identify elements of the subsistence base at these sites.

天鹰岬（Sky Aerie Promontory，编号5RB104）与岩溪村岬（Rimrock Hamlet Promontory，编号5RB2792）为两处弗里蒙特遗址（Fremont sites），坐落于科罗拉多州西北部兰吉利附近的道格拉斯溪拱（Douglas Creek Arch）区域。放射性碳测年结果显示，两处遗址的人类占据时段为公元8世纪末至公元1005年。研究针对上述遗址开展了孢粉（pollen）、植硅体（phytolith）、淀粉粒（starch granule）及大植物遗存（macrofloral）分析，以明确其生计基础的组成元素。
