EXtratropical synThetic stoRm tide rEturn periods to Model extrEmes (EXTREME)

We forced a European scale cutout of GTSM with ERA5 (~40 years) and with 525 years of synthetic meteorological forcing obtained from pooling ensembles of SEAS5. The files provided here contain the return levels (storm tides) associated to the 10, 40, 100, 500 and 1000 year return periods, and the parameters necessary to fit the GPD for coastal stations along European coastlines for both ERA5- and SEAS5-derived storm tides.If you have used this dataset, please cite our paper:"Benito, I., Eilander, D., Timo, K., Ward, P.J., Aerts, J.C.J.H., and Muis,S., 2025.
