Current dataset presents raw data on ground spider communities behind the research article "Functional losses in ground spider communities due to habitat-structure degradation under tropical land-use change" by Anton M. Potapov, Nadine Dupérré, Malte Jochum, Kerstin Dreczko, Bernhard Klarner, Andrew D. Barnes, Valentyna Krashevska, Katja Rembold, Holger Kreft, Ulrich Brose, Rahayu Widyastuti, Danilo Harms, Stefan Scheu, published in Ecology. The study was conducted in the framework of the EFForTS project (http://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/310995.html), investigating ecological and socioeconomic changes associated with the transformation of lowland rainforest into agricultural systems. Four land-use systems – rainforest (forest, F), jungle rubber agroforest (J), rubber monoculture (R) and oil palm monoculture (O) were studied across two regions (Harapan and Bukit Duabelas landscape) in Jambi Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. The data set consists of four files - two community matrices of spiders, one table describing the sampling sites and one table describing the taxonomy and traits of spiders. The data based on two collection events with different methods, different years and different sampling areas. Thus, the two community matrices are not directly comparable.

Barnes、Valentyna Krashevska、Katja Rembold、Holger Kreft、Ulrich Brose、Rahayu Widyastuti、Danilo Harms、Stefan Scheu合著、发表于《Ecology》的研究论文《热带土地利用变化下生境结构退化导致地表蜘蛛群落功能丧失》(Functional losses in ground spider communities due to habitat-structure degradation under tropical land-use change)中的地表蜘蛛群落原始数据。本研究依托EFForTS项目(http://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/310995.html)开展,旨在探究低地热带雨林转化为农业系统过程中伴随的生态与社会经济变化。研究在印度尼西亚苏门答腊岛占碑省的哈拉潘景观与武吉杜阿贝拉斯景观两个区域内,设置了四种土地利用系统样地:热带雨林(林地,F)、橡胶农林复合系统(J)、橡胶单作园(R)以及油棕单作园(O)。本数据集包含四个文件:两份蜘蛛群落矩阵(community matrix)、一份采样样地信息表以及一份蜘蛛分类学信息与功能性状表。本次数据基于两次野外采集活动,两次采集采用不同采样方法、于不同年份开展且覆盖不同采样区域,因此两份蜘蛛群落矩阵无法直接进行比对。
