National Carbon and Water Footprints of Hydropower

The dataset contains information for >100 countries: - Carbon emissions (CO2, CH4, and CO2-equivalents) as well as - Water-related information (gross consumption, net consumption, water scarcity footprint, environmental water stress footprint due to flow alterations, and a footprint combining water scarcity and environmental water stress). For both carbon and water, the footprints are given unallocated (for the entire reservoir despite possibly multiple purposes) and allocated (for hydropower following an empirical allocation). Using the allocated footprints is recommended. More details, including plant-specific footprints, are available at the related links below.
