RNA sequencing of cotton root under salinity stress

Germination and post germination stage is one of the most salt-sensitive period during plant growth. Cotton is a major pioneer crop in saline alkali land. However, very rare studies were focused on mechanisms of response to salinity during the stage. We performed a comparative transcriptomic and phenotypic analysis on two cotton cultivars to provide a comprehensive perspective to understand the possible key mechanisms of salinity tolerance during the target period.
