This article provides an extensive analysis of the role, potential, and impact of artificial intelligence in English language teaching for EFL students. With the rapid evolution of digital technologies, AI-based systems-including adaptive learning platforms, intelligent tutoring systems, and conversational chatbots-have transformed traditional teaching methods into dynamic, personalized, and student-centered learning experiences. The study combines literature review, classroom observations, and a sample experimental study to evaluate how AI improves students’ motivation, engagement, and linguistic proficiency. Findings demonstrate that AI significantly enhances speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills while fostering learner autonomy, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. The article also addresses challenges, ethical concerns, accessibility issues, and practical implementation strategies for educators.
本文针对英语作为外语(English as a Foreign Language,EFL)学习者的英语教学场景,对人工智能(Artificial Intelligence,AI)的角色、潜力与影响展开了全面剖析。随着数字技术的飞速演进,基于人工智能的各类系统——涵盖自适应学习平台、智能辅导系统与会话聊天机器人——已将传统教学模式革新为动态化、个性化且以学习者为中心的学习体验。本研究结合文献综述、课堂观察与抽样实验研究,探究人工智能如何提升学习者的学习动机、课堂参与度与语言综合能力。研究结果表明,人工智能可显著增强学习者的听说读写四项技能,同时培养其学习自主性、批判性思维与协作学习能力。此外,本文还探讨了面向教育工作者的相关挑战、伦理关切、可及性问题及实践落地策略。
