NRS-16174 | Wallend District Hospital Board and Committees: minutes [second series]

This is a nearly complete master set of the Minutes of the Board of Directors of the Wallsend Mining District Hospital and of its subordinate committees from 1934 until the closure of the Hospital in 1991; only the Minutes for the last six months of this period are missing. The Minutes are in bound typescript format, in nine volumes whose pages are numbered consecutively from 1 to 3947; the latter part of the eighth volume (from May, 1987) and the whole of the ninth are un-numbered. The final meeting of the Board of Directors took place on the 29th Sept., 1986, but the various subordinate committees continued to meet and function after this date, and from 13th May, 1987 they were overseen by the Advisory Committee set up to report to the Hunter Area Health Service on the affairs of the Hospital. The Minutes of the Advisory Committee form part of this series thenceforth. The eighth volume of the Minutes contains, in addition to the Minutes for 1983 - 1989, an Index to their contents from 1934 down to 1979. Pages 3884, 3887, 3897 and 3907 have been transferred from their original places in that volume to the beginning of the ninth volume, apparently for ease of reference to their contents.

本数据集为沃尔森德矿区医院（Wallsend Mining District Hospital）董事会及其下属委员会1934年至1991年医院关停期间的近乎完整官方核心馆藏会议纪要，仅缺失该时段最后六个月的会议纪要。本次会议纪要以精装打印稿形式留存，共计9卷，页码连续编号为1至3947；其中第8卷后半部分（1987年5月起）及第9卷全卷未编排连续页码。
董事会最后一次会议召开于1986年9月29日，但此后各下属委员会仍持续开展会议与运营工作；1987年5月13日起，相关委员会的事务改由为向亨特区卫生服务局（Hunter Area Health Service）汇报医院运营情况而设立的咨询委员会负责监管。自此之后，咨询委员会的会议纪要亦纳入本数据集系列。
本数据集第8卷除收录1983年至1989年的会议纪要外，还包含1934年至1979年的内容索引。原位于第8卷内的第3884、3887、3897及3907页已被调整至第9卷卷首，此举应为便于查阅相关内容。
