Effects of proportion of host trees in forest stands on infestation intensity by the invasive oak lace bug, Corythucha arcuata (Say)

In a joint study in five Central and Southeastern European countries, we studied the effect of tree species richness on leaf damage caused by oak lace bug, <em>Corythucha arcuata</em> (Say) (Heteroptera, Tingidae), an invasive pest on oak trees that has spread rapidly across the Balkan Peninsula and Central Europe. Intensity of infestation by <em>C. arcuata</em> on oaks was assessed on three or four study plots with high and three or four plots with low percentage of oak in each country.本联合研究覆盖中欧及东南欧五个国家，旨在探究树种丰富度对栎冠网蝽（oak lace bug）所致栎木叶损伤的影响。该害虫为*Corythucha arcuata* (Say)，隶属于半翅目（Heteroptera）网蝽科（Tingidae），是专害栎树的入侵性害虫，目前已快速扩散至巴尔干半岛与中欧区域。本研究于每个国家内设置3至4个栎树占比偏高的样地与3至4个栎树占比偏低的样地，以此评估栎树受该虫侵染的严重程度。
