Code in R: Safeguarding seagrass blue carbon sinks

Seagrass beds, crucial blue carbon ecosystems in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea, are facing severe degradation. The linkage between their carbon sink function and distribution dynamics urgently needs clarification. This study developed a quantitative assessment framework for seagrass beds by integrating ensemble species distribution models with the InVEST model. Combining with carbon density data, the spatio-temporal characteristics of suitable seagrass habitats and carbon storage were analyzed.作为黄海与渤海关键蓝碳生态系统的海草床正面临严重退化，其碳汇功能与分布动态之间的关联亟需厘清。本研究通过将集成物种分布模型（ensemble species distribution models）与InVEST模型相结合，构建了海草床定量评估框架，并结合碳密度数据，分析了海草适宜生境与碳储量的时空特征。
