Honeybee head transcriptomes of Toy-knockout mutants and normal controls

We employed Crispr/Cas9 technology to edit toy gene in honeybees. We collected gene-edited mutants without compound eyes at four time points, and carried out transcriptome analysis using these samples. We collected 15 toy gene editing mutants of 6th-day larvae (n = 4), 2nd-day prepupae (n = 3), 3rd-day pupae (n = 4) and 1st-day adults (n = 4). Meanwhile, we collected 12 normal individuals as controls (three samples per time point) at the four corresponding developmental time points.
