Biosphere Reserves of the Valencian Comunity - Zoning

Biosphere Reserves are territories whose objective is to harmonize the conservation of biological and cultural diversity and economic and social development through the relationship between people and nature. They are established on ecologically representative or unique value zones, in terrestrial, coastal and marine environments, in which the integration of the human population and its activities with conservation are essential. To fulfill these functions, Biosphere Reserves must have three types of zones.生物圈保护区（Biosphere Reserves）是旨在通过协调人与自然的关系，统筹生物与文化多样性保护及经济社会发展的区域。它们设立于陆地、沿海及海洋环境中具备生态代表性或独特价值的区域，此类区域中人类群体及其活动与保护工作的融合是不可或缺的核心环节。为履行上述职能，生物圈保护区需包含三类功能区。
