We applied the modified single-cell parallel sequencing (scM&T) technology to generate the transcriptome and methylome landscapes of mouse oocytes at different stages and at different ages. We reported both aging and maturation associated dynamics of transcriptome and DNA methylation in mouse oocytes, revealed underlying oocyte-specific regulatory mechanisms of DNA methylation on gene expression and established a model for predicting oocyte quality by identified novel molecular signatures.
