Copepoda of the Equatorial Eastern Pacific

The pelagic fauna in the Equatorial Region of the Eastern South Pacific across Ecuador is highly diverse, but little studied. Among planktonic components, the crustacean copepods dominate both coastal and oceanic areas. This growing an attempt to build a unique platform to describe, identify and count this important taxonomic group of this region.

横跨厄瓜多尔的南太平洋东部赤道海域的远洋动物群物种多样性极高，但相关研究却极为匮乏。在浮游生物类群中，甲壳桡足类（crustacean copepods）在近岸与远洋海域均占据主导地位。目前正着力搭建一套专属平台，以对该区域这一重要分类类群开展描述、识别与计数工作。
