DLL4 high expression in human liver sinusoidal endothelial cell

DLL4, a ligand of the Notch signaling pathway, is predominantly expressed in endothelial cells and maintains liver sinusoidal homeostasis. DLL4 had been found up-regulated in the sinusoids of human fibrotic liver and CCl4-induced murine liver model, consistent with LSEC capillarization and fibrosis. TMNK-1 cells, an immortalized human liver endothelial cell line modified with SV40T and hTERT, were respectively transduced with the DLL4-overexpressing and control lentivirus. The mRNA expression profiling were compared between TMNK-1 cells with DLL4 overexpression and control to explore the role of DLL4 in the capillarisation of liver sinusoidal endothelial cell and liver fibrogenesis.
