Raw XBT Expendable Probe Data from the Lau Back-arc Basin acquired during the Thomas G. Thompson expedition TN234 (2009)

This data set was acquired with a Sippican MK21 XBT Expendable Probe during Thomas G. Thompson expedition TN234 conducted in 2009 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Joseph Resing). These data files are of Sippican MK21 Export Data File format and include Sound Velocity and Temperature data that have not been processed. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Neovolcanic activity in the NE Lau Basin - Cruise Webpage and Northern Lau/Tonga Eruption Rapid Response - MARGINS, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE09-29411, OCE09-29881, OCE09-30025, and OCE09-34660.

本数据集采集于2009年开展的托马斯·G·汤普森号（Thomas G. Thompson）科考航次TN234，本次航次首席科学家为约瑟夫·雷辛博士。数据采集使用Sippican MK21 XBT抛弃式探棒（Sippican MK21 XBT Expendable Probe）完成。本次产出的数据文件采用Sippican MK21导出数据文件格式，包含未经处理的声速与温度观测数据。本数据集隶属于两项研究项目：东北劳盆地新火山活动航次专题网页（Neovolcanic activity in the NE Lau Basin - Cruise Webpage）以及北劳/汤加喷发快速响应-MARGINS项目（Northern Lau/Tonga Eruption Rapid Response - MARGINS），研究经费由美国国家科学基金会（National Science Foundation, NSF）的OCE09-29411、OCE09-29881、OCE09-30025及OCE09-34660号资助项目提供。
