Isolation of the genes that is involved in gross chromosomal rearrangements

Fission yeast cells containing Ch16 minichromosome were randomly mutagenized, and the mutant clones that showed decreased rate of gross chromosomal rearrangements were selected. After crossing against the parental wild-type strain, genome DNA was prepared from around 10 progenies from each candidate, assembled, and subjected for whole genome sequencing.
