Parkes observations for project P1145 semester 2022OCTS_05

Pulsar surveys find pulsars, but follow-up observations are crucial to establish the nature of the pulsars, including their spin-down rate, their magnetic field strength, their polarization properties and whether they are part of a binary system and therefore potentially interesting for further study. We aim to determine timing solutions for 14 pulsars discovered at Parkes but which have not been observed since their discovery.

脉冲星巡天可发现脉冲星，但后续观测对于明确脉冲星的本质属性至关重要，涵盖其自转减速率、磁场强度、偏振特性，以及是否隶属于双星系统，因此具备进一步研究的潜在价值。本研究旨在为14颗在帕克斯（Parkes）天文台发现、且自发现以来未被再次观测的脉冲星确定计时解（timing solution）。
