Linguistic Discrimination in Education: Audio Interviews with Secondary School Teachers in Germany

This archive contains audio-recorded interviews collected within the Erasmus+ CIRCE project (Counteracting accent dIscrimination pRactiCes in Education, grant agreement no. 2022-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000087602). The interviews were conducted in Germany between April and June 2025 and focus on experiences and perceptions of linguistic and accent-based discrimination in secondary education and everyday life. The dataset includes 14 interviews with secondary school teachers. Written informed consent forms are securely stored in the institutional archive of the CIRCE project at the University of Münster, Germany, and are available for verification by authorized bodies.The recordings are primarily intended for educational and research use by secondary school teachers and students, as well as by university students and educators, particularly in the fields of language education, sociolinguistics, and teacher training. Important Notice on Access ConditionsGiven the sensitive nature of audio-recorded voice data and in accordance with the informed consent provided by participants, access to the audio files is restricted and granted only upon request for non-commercial scientific research purposes. Metadata are openly available.Access requests are subject to approval by the data controllers and must clearly state the research purpose, institutional affiliation, and intended use of the data.
