Transcriptome analysis of radish varieties roots

Radish is an economically important crop belonging to the Brassicaceae family. Radish roots have potential as a model for the study of plant sink tissue. Many secondary metabolites are transported and stored into the radish roots through various mechanisms. However, the molecular mechanisms in radish roots are unclear. Comprehensive and detailed transcriptome analysis in the radish roots will provide information of the genes involved in the biosynthesis of many secondary metabolites, transporters, and transcription factors.
