Type 1 adenylyl cyclase (ADCY1) is a main enzyme to produce cyclic AMP (cAMP) upon activation of G-protein coupled receptors and increase of intracellular calcium. It regulates cAMP signaling and in turn affects physiological functions including neural plasticity, cognition, motor function, cell survival, and neuropathic pain. We used microarrays to determine the effect of a known ADCY1 inhibitor NB001 on gene transcription. We produced the gene expression profiles of MCF7 cells to NB001 and vehicle control (DMSO). Two biological replicates for each group and the data set includes profiles for 4 samples.
