Source data for the manuscript Fate and persistence of rhizodeposition in salt-marsh sediments. The dataset includes Excel files containing: (1) δ¹³C signatures of plant tissues for Elymus athericus and Spartina anglica (Table S1); (2) δ¹³C signatures of sediment organic carbon in ¹³C-labeled and unlabeled sediments during long-term incubation (Figure 2); (3) cumulative total respiration during four weeks of incubation under oxic and anoxic conditions (Figure 3); and (4) δ¹³C signatures of total carbon in the headspace during four weeks of incubation under oxic and anoxic conditions (Figures 4 and 5). These files provide the underlying data for the analyses presented in the manuscript.
