China Crop Dataset: A long-term and high-resolution crop distribution dataset in China

The China Crop Dataset (CCD) is a 30 m resolution map depicting the spatial distribution of winter wheat, maize, single-season rice, double-season rice and sugarcane across China from 2001 to 2024. This dataset is formatted in GeoTIFF and uses the WGS_1984 coordinate system (EPSG:4326). Pixel values are classified as follows: 0 for non-crop, 1 for single-season rice, 2 for double-season rice, 3 for winter wheat, 4 for the winter wheat and single-season rice rotation, 5 for sugarcane, 6 for maize and 9 for the winter wheat and maize rotation. The accuracy assessment indicates the producer's accuracy, user's accuracy and overall accuracy are 88.45%, 87.2% and 91.01%, respectively. Moreover, the classified areas for winter wheat, maize, single-season rice, double-season rice and sugarcane align well with official statistical data, with correlation coefficients (R²) exceeding 0.6 in most provinces.
