Forest metrics

The 2000 and 2018 forest metrics, including percentage forest cover (�), mean forest patch size (MPS) and mean distance to forest edge (MDE) between: (1) China’s national nature forest reserves and their surrounding areas, (2) reserves designated in different periods (i.e., before 2000, 2000‒2009, and 2010‒2018), and (3) reserve zones (i.e., core, buffer, and transition).本数据集收录2000年与2018年的森林指标，包括森林覆盖率（percentage forest cover，%）、平均森林斑块面积（mean forest patch size, MPS）以及至森林边缘的平均距离（mean distance to forest edge, MDE），覆盖三类对比对象：（1）中国国家级森林自然保护区及其周边区域；（2）不同划定时段的保护区（即2000年以前、2000-2009年及2010-2018年）；（3）保护区功能分区（即核心区、缓冲区与实验区）。
