c2c = leaf mass per area (kg/m2)
d15n = initial nitrogen isotope ratio of the leaves (‰)
k.slope = Nitrogen source factor (unitless)
ma = moisture thresholds for carbon assimilation (four points; mm/mm)
N0 = max nitrogen uptake rate (kg/kg)
n15.rich = the nitrogen isotope ratio of n15 rich source (‰)
ndepleted = the nitrogen isotope ratio of n15 depleted source (‰)
tg = temperature thresholds for shoot growth (four points; Celsius)
tn = temperature thresholds for nitrogen uptake (two points; Celsius)
tr = temperature thresholds for root growth (two points; Celsius)
