Transcriptome analysis of different parts of the salivary venomous gland of Lethocerus indicus. Lethocerus indicus

Lethocerus indicus commonly known as giant water bug is an important edible and medicinal insect. The salivary gland is of prime importance for producing venomous saliva that can kill and feed on wide ranges of prey starting from small aquatic insect to snake. The transcriptome analysis of different parts of salivary gland of L. indicus such as anterior main gland, posterior main gland, lobules and whole gland will give insight in understanding the differentially expressed gene present in each part and its functional role involved.
