This is a replication dataset for the manuscript titled: \"Multiomic characterization of acute child illness and mortality in Africa and South Asia.\" This dataset contains the entire dataset of clinical and biological measurements taken from children aged 2-23 months in the CHAIN Nested Case-Cohort study. This includes children hospitalized at nine LMIC facilities (n=1008), community children (n=270), and a validation cohort (n=100). The clinical data and sample collection was harmonized across sites, and biological datasets included TAC pathogen arrays, stool metagenomics, blood plasma proteomics, and blood serum metabolomics and lipidomics. Samples were collected and analyzed at hospital admission and discharge. Data was analyzed using statistical, bioinformatics, and machine learning approaches, and all code for reproduction of the analyses performed is also included.
