Records of ground-dwelling medium- and large-bodied mammal species and human presence based on camera trapping survey in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, southeast Tibet

Camera trap detections of terrestrial mammals were collected during the dry season between November 2020 and April 2021 and November 2021 and April 2022 to avoid the heavy rainy seasons in the region. The mean trapping efforts were 134 days (89 to 147 days range). All photos of the same species (including humans) at the same camera station were considered independent detections if separated by at least 1 h. The total valid sampling effort was 43,163 camera days from 322 camera stations that operated effectively. The target species consisted of ground-dwelling medium- and large-bodied mammal species weighing more than 1 kg. Thus, the occurrence dataset consists of occurrence information on 31 mammal species at 322 camera stations.

本数据集采集了2020年11月至2021年4月、2021年11月至2022年4月旱季期间的陆生哺乳动物红外相机陷阱（camera trap）监测数据，以规避该区域的强降雨季。单台相机的平均监测时长为134天，区间范围为89至147天。同一相机监测站点拍摄到的同一物种（包含人类）的所有影像，若拍摄间隔至少为1小时，则视为独立有效检测记录。有效总采样时长达43163相机日，覆盖322台有效运行的相机监测站点。目标类群为体重超过1千克的陆栖中型、大型哺乳动物。本出现数据集包含322个相机监测站点处共31种哺乳动物的出现记录信息。
