OPUSH Citizen Science Pilot "GUMPI" Dataset
收藏资源简介:
The Citizen Science pilot "GUMPI" investigated the potential of Citizen Social Science (CSS) to foster inclusive urban development by actively involving students in participatory urban research. Set in Vienna’s 6th district, the project centers on the redesign of Gumpendorfer Straße and explores how underrepresented voices can contribute to socially and ecologically just transformation processes. Through two CSS workshops, complementary knowledge from this group was generated and integrated into an ongoing planning process by the City of Vienna. The dataset contains qualitative and participatory research outcomes that highlight challenges, opportunities, and best practices for involving vulnerable populations in urban planning. These insights inform recommendations for CSS methodology and participatory design in the context of sustainable city development. "GUMPI" is part of the international OPUSH project, which promotes citizen engagement through cultural and educational institutions in four European cities.
