Impact of Water Table Drawdown on Microorganism-Nematode Interactions in Alpine Peatlands on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau

This project investigates the effects of reduced water table levels on the interactions between soil microorganisms (fungi and prokaryotes) and nematodes in the Zoige peatlands on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The study explores how aridity and degradation impact soil physicochemical properties, microbial abundance, and cross-trophic interactions, shedding light on the ecological functions of peatlands and their response to climate change and human activities. The findings offer valuable insights into peatland ecosystem stability and degradation processes.
