Purple Goldenrod at Stong Pond

On the sunny day of September 21, 2015 at 3:00-4:30pm, data was collected from purple goldenrods—Solidago spp.—at Stong Pond York University. A transect tape was put from the shore towards land. Purple goldenrods that were easily identified next to the transect tape were recorded for its distance from the shore, height, number of leaves, number of flowers and crowdedness. The data was collected to see if there was any relationship between the four variables and its distance from the shore.2015年9月21日晴朗的下午3:00至4:30，研究人员于约克大学（York University）斯通池塘（Stong Pond）周边采集紫黄花一枝黄花（Solidago spp.）的相关实验数据。实验过程中，沿从湖岸向陆地延伸的方向布设样带卷尺，对紧邻样带卷尺、易于识别的紫黄花一枝黄花，记录其离岸距离、株高、叶片数量、花朵数量及植株拥挤度。本次数据采集旨在探究上述四项观测变量与该植物离岸距离之间是否存在关联。
