Implicit and Explicit Processing on Base Rate Neglect Problems

This dataset consists of responses on a standard Base Rate Neglect Task. There are two between-subject factors. These are Instructional Set (logic, belief) and Analytical Thinking Level (low, moderate, high). Within-subject factors are Congruency (congruent problems, incongruent problems), Base Rate Extremity (extreme base rates, moderate base rates), and Stereotype Extremity (extremely stereotypic case descriptions, moderately stereotypic case descriptions). <br> Logic instructions require participants to focus on base rates. Belief instructions require participants to focus on the case descriptions. On congruent problems, the base rate information and case description support the same answer. On incongruent problems, they do not. Analytical Thinking Level was determined by way of the Actively Open-minded Thinking Scale.
