The Cretan方言 speech recognition dataset includes audio and corresponding text, divided into raw text and normalized text. Based on the Modern Greek dialect used by speakers on the Greek island of Crete and its diaspora, the dataset consists of 32 tapes of recordings of folklore narratives by a single speaker broadcast by Radio Mires between 1998 and 2001. The dataset is intended to support research in automatic speech recognition for low-resource Greek dialects.
