Furthermore, selenomethionine markedly increased the Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes (F/B) ratio and the relative abundance of Lactobacilli, alongside elevating the concentrations of their metabolites, acetate and propionate. Additionally, results from molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations revealed that the MAPK1 signaling pathway exhibits the strongest binding affinity for L-selenomethionine. In summary, selenomethionine may mitigate oxidative stress damage induced by deoxynivalenol (DON) through the regulation of the MAPK1 signaling pathway, potentially by increasing the abundance of beneficial gut microbiota and their metabolites
