This layer group describes multibeam echosounder data collected on RV Investigator voyage IN2022_V05 "The Tsunamigenic Submarine Landslides and Deep-Marine Canyons of Australia’s Tasman Sea Margin: Causes and Consequences" which departed Hobart on 28th Mar 2022 and arrived at Brisbane on 3rd Jul 2022.\n\nThis voyage utilised the seismic reflection profiling, bathymetric mapping, coring, and dredging capabilities of the RV Investigator to gather the data required to test competing models of the SEACM’s geologic evolution and how its submarine landslides generate dangerous and potentially lethal tsunami.\n\nThis dataset is published with the permission of CSIRO. Not to be used for navigational purposes.\n\nThe dataset contains bathymetry grids of 10m to 210m resolution of the Tasman Sea Margin, produced from the processed EM122 and EM710 bathymetry data.\nLineage: Multibeam data logged in the EMs Kongsberg proprietary *.all format was imported and converted to be processed and cleaned using Qimera version 2.4.8. Data were imported into the Qimera project using vessel configuration read directly from the .all files for either the EM122 or EM710 accordingly. Project geodetics for Qimera were configured to use WGS84/UTM Zone 56S coordinates and EGM2008 heights.\n\nThe vertical referencing method used was RTK (Accurate Height) using the EGM2008 model from the QPS Geodetic Resources version 3.0.4.\n\nThe data was then gridded at multiple resolutions in python Caris batch script using a Depth filter Vs Resolution guideline derived from AusSeabed Multibeam guidelines v2 and further inspected for outliers. Final raster products are available in L3 folder of this collection. Final processed data were also exported per line as GSF and ASCII format and available in the L2 folder of this collection.
