Transcriptional profiling of human epithelial cells infected with trachoma isolates of Chlamydia trachomatis

Hep-2C cells were infected with A/2497 or B/Tunis-864 strains of Chlamydia trachomatis to compare changes in host gene expression Overall design: Hep-2C cells were incubated with media alone, media inoculated with A/2497 or media inoculated with B/Tunis-864 at 37ºC for 3 hours, including 1 hour centrifugation at 1800 RPM. Inoculum was replaced with media (plus supplement) and incubated at 37ºC for 36 hours. RNA was extracted for RNA trascriptional analysis.
