"This dataset consists of publicly available traffic flow data collected from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Performance Measurement System (PeMS). It includes network-level traffic flow measurements recorded by loop detectors deployed across urban freeway networks. The dataset is widely used for traffic flow forecasting and traffic state estimation research. In this study, the PeMS04 and PeMS08 subsets are utilized to evaluate data-driven spatio-temporal modeling methods under real-world traffic conditions."
