资源简介:
Acinetobacter species have come to light as a primary cause of severe infections and illnesses associated with healthcare in recent years (Lima et al.2019). Acinetobacter baumannii has a high capacity of survival and is easy to cause outbreak and long-lasting epidemic in hospital. The difficulty of clinical therapy is increased by the growing number of strains that are resistant to many drugs, pan-drug resistance, and all-drug resistance (Lee et al.2017). Human health are at risk due to the widespread spread of A. baumannii resistant to carbapenem (Harding et al.2018). A. baumannii is resistant to antibiotics because of its ability to build biofilms on non-living and biologic surfaces, such as medical equipment and host tissues (Greene et al.2016). According to a research, biofilm-forming strains of A. baumannii were responsible for all urinary or bloodstream infections associated to the catheter, highlighting the unique role that biofilm formation plays in the development of infections related to medical devices (Lin and Lan.2014). A. baumannii cells in the biofilm have the ability to go dormant and metabolically inactive in unfavorable environmental conditions, allowing them to withstand environmental stress (Greene et al.2016). Site-specific recombination allows integrons to express and capture external drug resistance gene cassettes, a crucial process in the development and dissemination of drug resistance in bacteria. By identifying the presence of integrons and drug resistance gene cassettes in multi-drug resistant strains, we are able to comprehend the associated drug resistance mechanism and its spread trend, as well as offer recommendations for clinical anti-infection treatment and nosocomial infection prevention (Boucher et al.2007; Cambray et al.2010). Understanding carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CRAB), including its epidemiology, the distribution of integrons, virulence factors, and carbapenem resistance mechanisms, is essential to preventing the continuing development of resistance to the antibiotic.
