Hunting Diana

In Roman mythology, Diana was the goddess of the hunt, nature, and the moon. She is often portrayed with wild animals and woodland, she is also said to have been able to talk to animals. Here she is depicted running during a hunt, with a quiver of arrows and a dog by her side. The decorative pedestal was created in 1754 by Pascal Latour.在罗马神话中，狄安娜（Diana）是狩猎、自然与月亮的女神。她常以与野生动物、林地相伴的形象示人，传说她还能与动物交谈。本作品中，她正于狩猎途中奔行，身侧携带着箭囊与猎犬。该装饰性基座由帕斯卡尔·拉图尔（Pascal Latour）于1754年创作完成。
