Ocean Front Shifts and Sea Temperatures in the Pacific Southern Ocean during the Mid-Pleistocene Transition

This dataset contains sea surface temperature (SST) reconstructions and associated weighted standard deviations for each downcore sample from IODP Site U1539, located in the central South Pacific. SSTs were estimated using the Modern Analog Technique based on planktic foraminiferal assemblages. The data cover the Mid-Pleistocene Transition (~1.2–0.7 million years ago), a key interval in Earth's climate evolution.
