Average annual temperature projections in the UK 2020-2099, by emission scenario

Average annual temperatures in the United Kingdom are projected to rise under the different Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP), based on the historic baseline 9.2 degrees Celsius (°C). Under the RCP 4.5 intermediate emission scenario, it is expected that temperatures will rise to 10 °C in the next decades and to 10.4 °C by mid-century. Temperatures will continue to rise to reach 10.6 °C by 2099, following the same scenario.
