The rhizosphere microbial community is dynamically changing, and its structure and functional assembly are the result of the interaction among plants, microorganisms and the environment. Plants under different stresses acquire stress resistance by aggregating specific rhizosphere microbial communities or typical beneficial bacterial groups. However, excavating and utilizing plant-related stress-resistant subcommunities from complex microbial communities remains a challenge. Here, we present a 13-week dynamic dataset of Populus alba-P. glandulosa 84K under drought, salt, and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides stress treatments. It includes phenotypic data, 16S rRNA amplicon data from 312 rhizosphere and bulk soil samples, and shotgun metagenomic data from 48 rhizosphere samples. This dataset captures stress-induced dynamic variations in the structure and function of poplar rhizosphere microorganisms, providing a data resource for investigating plant-microbe interactions under stress and offering valuable information into the development of stress-resistant and growth-promoting microbial resources.
