Adaptive differentiation in life history traits despite propensity for hybridization in two sister salamanders - Data and Scripts

This repository contains data and R code associated with the study “Adaptive differentiation in life history traits despite propensity for hybridization in two sister salamanders.” The project investigates how parental genotype influences breeding outcomes and larvae survival to metamorphosis from hybrid crosses between Ambystoma barbouri and A. texanum. Using a factorial breeding design, we quantified breeding success in terms of probability of oviposition, clutch size, initial larval size at hatching, and time to hatching. Furthermore, we quantified larvae survival to metamorphosis, time to metamorphosis, and size at metamorphosis in both laboratory and mesocosm conditions. The repository includes data and scripts for Bayesian regression models' comparisons and summaries, including reproduction of preliminary figures for review and publication.
