This dataset contains a global catalogue of spatiotemporally clustered drought events spanning 1980–2024, identified using a three-dimensional implementation of the DBSCAN algorithm. The catalogue is based on daily data using four hydroclimatic variables:precipitation, potential evapotranspiration, soil moisture, and surface runoff. This dataset corresponds to a manuscript, which is submitted to the Scientific Data, collection on Droughts.
