Aflatoxins, primarily produced by two phytopathogenic fungi, Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus, are among the most powerful carcinogens. The aflatoxin biosynthesis gene cluster contains 25 genes that are involved in aflatoxin production. Due to the differences in toxin-production among Aspergillus species and its correspondence with their genomics, election of the target gene has to be carefully studied to ensure RNA interference silencing success and efficacy.

黄曲霉毒素(Aflatoxins)主要由两种植物病原真菌——黄曲霉(Aspergillus flavus)与寄生曲霉(Aspergillus parasiticus)产生,是目前已知最强效的致癌物之一。黄曲霉毒素生物合成基因簇包含25个参与黄曲霉毒素合成的基因。由于曲霉属物种间产毒能力存在差异,且该差异与其基因组特征密切相关,因此必须审慎开展靶基因的筛选研究,以保障RNA干扰(RNA interference)基因沉默的成功率与沉默效能。
