Ironing is done with wooden sticks, the clothes beaten with the heavy sticks until they are dry and smooth. The Korean ironing stick is said to be used in marital discipline. These girls are not dressed as they would normally be at work. They would not allow their pictures to be taken until they had put on their best jackets.
