Dataset for "Polarization-resolved measurement of forward volume spin waves by micro-focused Brillouin light scattering"

This dataset contains the data for the publication "Polarization-resolved measurement of forward volume spin waves by micro-focused Brillouin light scattering" together with the useful files used to obtain the Cotton-Mouton constant and the SpinWaveToolkit package (see SpinWaveToolkit on GitHub) in the version used to prepare the analysis. Folder 'BYIG-100nmthickness' contains experimental data in HBF5 files together with the numpy.array and SVG graphics of the chosen modes taken from the spectra, which are used in further analysis. Folder 'Figures' contains all figures and Jupyter notebooks used to generate the figures. Folder 'modelling-data' contains numpy.array and SVG graphics of the chosen modes from the semi-analytical calculations. Jupyter notebook 'experiment-maps.ipynb' was used to analyze the experimental spectra and obtain the relative angle between the polarizer and analyzer. Jupyter notebooks 'fitting-BVDE.ipynb' and 'fitting_FV.ipynb' were used to fit the values of the Cotton-Mouton constants using semi-analytical model based on the experimental results.
